It is my last day at the infamous University of Phoenix. I have worked with and learned from more people than one could expect figuring I sit in a 5 by 5 cubicle. Good thing they made them low enough I could easily yell across the room. The people I did not get the pleasure of working long enough with are many, the two Mellisa's, Vance, Keith, David, Tonia, Josh, Maya, Erica, Ronnie, Marie, Brenna, and Marquise. Each of these individuals even though I worked less than a year with them, each carrying a varied amount of time from the several months they had to put up with me to the couple of days I worked with a couple of them. Touching on each and every individual and what I have learned and laughed about with them would be endless. And I know each of those individuals considering my long-windiness would simply skip to what I wrote about them. I just want them to know they were all special to me, they all amazed me with the great and genuine acts they do, the talents they have, despite whether they know it or not.
There are a few individuals I have been with since I started at the University. Mark, Leslie, Danielle, almost Kenny, and they I am sure know just as those I spent less time with how much they mean to me and have taught to me. Leslie is truly one of the most astounding people I have ever met, to do what she does is simply unbelievable. I have never in my life known someone who could balance so much and while doing so, be so successful. I am sure she and her family will end up making tremendous contributions to society. Mark, what can I say about Mark? I have never heard so many outstanding stories of life, he has truly lived life to the fullest and has become a perfect example to follow most of his footsteps. Plus, his array of old man jokes is unmatched and I am sure I will be using them as well someday. Danielle, is so quite and reserved unless you pull her out of it. It was not easy for me, but she does possess one of the best sense of humors. She has humoured and participated in my foolishness to an extend most people would not and that is why I know she is a truly genuine person. Lastly, Kenny, he is expecting his first child. I know he will be an excellent father, that fact cannot be argued. When I first met Kenny he was a little high strung, but I have seen him even in the little time I have known him become a fair and, really, an understanding person. Also, Kenny is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I know he knows he needs to start applying his intelligence to earn a piece of paper, while he knows it is just a piece of paper, he also knows how important it could be to his daughter and his future life. One day I would not be surprised to hear that Kenny is working at some sort of think tank at MIT or something. He just needs to keep applying his intelligence and focus, not become apathetic. That is what I did for so long and when you eliminate the excuses the possibilities are endless for each and every individual.
Those last sentiments go for all those I have had the pleasure of spending my last couple years with trapped in cubicles, just trying to break up the life of a cubicle worker with a little fun. I do deeply apoligize I could not write about all those I have met and shared time with such as Lori, Ehren, Audrey, Farid, and of course, Nancy, but this simple post may become a post never read.
No matter what you are thinking about how little or how much I have written about each of these people they have all been very influential in my life and each played their part in shaping my life. As I am very disappointed I will not, to be honest, get a chance to see what becomes of each of these people. I do wish them all the best of luck and thank them for making a job I did not love completely, fun.
With those corny sentiments said tomorrow I am off to Michigan for a little less than a month and then I am of to the Czech Republic to teach English. While teaching English about an hour outside of Prague I hope to finish my first novel and change the world for the better with it. All can feel free to continually checking in as I will be constantly posting to give an update on my life a broad. Also, I implore you to write on the blog yourself to let me know how and what you are doing. Thank you all.
